The film is about a british english man in his 60s or so, hes daughter dies and lives him his grandaughter to look after, i think the granddaughter was probably 6-9 years old she was quite young, she never knew her grandfather till then so naturally she wasnt fond of him at all but she soon grows attached to her grandfather, the girls father wasnt in her life i think the mother divorced him. im not sure but i think the grandfather was played by Micheal Caine, n i can remember the girl wore roller skates to her mothers funeral, the girls father was either carribean or african so she was mixed race child, whats the name of the film?? thank you xx

Relationship advice?

I've been going out with a girl for going on 9 months, when almost out of the blue, she asked for a break. Since that shes said she wants to breakup, becasue she doesn't want a boyfriend, but wants to continue me being there for her and other things like that in secret, while not really returning the commitment at all. This is really taking its tole on me emotionally - shes had other people ask her out and wont say no and barely ever spends time with me except on her terms. Despite all this, I love her to bits, but know I cant carry on as things are. Ive tried asking her back out, but she flatly refuses..., and I can't get my head round this as she at the same time says she loves me :S what should I do?
