Hitch vs Tarantino?
Hitch hands down. Why? Because Hitch was a real master of suspenseful cinema. He did not have to stoop to lurid images to convey the message he was wanting to get across. He was the master at symbolism. Remember in one of his movies the couple are in a sleeping compartment on a train getting ready to have and at the crucial moment the camera sweeps to the scene of a train entering a tunnel. Tarantino would have shown the couple engaging in and then probably getting stabbed or bitten on the neck or something. Hitch's horror was subtle and done with cl and finesse. Tarantino is just crude. My son is an actor and he practically worships Tarantino and we are at opposite ends of our admiration for those two movie makers.
