How can I clean rust off my Sais?

Im a martial artist, and i have tons of weapons. Everything from knives to samurai swords. But my superior weaponry are the Japanese Sais. I've been working with these weapons for about 3 years. And they are rusting. How can I remove the rust by myself without going to a professional shop. Could i use some type of cleaner or something...? Please Help.
